We are first time guests with kids ages 12, 8 and 5, coming in October 2014. We will be visiting all theme parks. What are the must do's and see's? Also, can you recommend what to use our Fast Pass+ selections on? Thanks!

    Hello Nikki!

Congratulations on planning your first Walt Disney World vacation!  Your family must be extremely excited as the trip draws near.  You chose a lovely time to visit and are going to just love your October adventure.

There is so much to see and do, but don't worry about trying to plan it all.  I love knowing that each trip we will be able to experience something new.  It keeps the magic alive and my family always yearning for another visit. I could easily fill my word limit with just one park's worth of my family's must-do's, so to begin I can just share a few ideas and then please let me know if you have more questions or would like additional suggestions and recommendations.

I suggest planning at least one character dining experience.  A few of our favorites are Tusker House Restaurant, The Garden Grill, and The Crystal Palace.  These experiences are a wonderful way to spend time with your favorite Disney pals and capture great family photos.  We also love visiting with our favorite magician, the adorable Mickey Mouse, at  Town Square Theater. It is so fun to hear him say hello and ask us about our visit.  In October, our favorite events take place too -- Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

I suggest choosing your FastPass+ selections based on which attractions you are all most excited to experience. Do you like thrill rides? Are there shows you are interested in? Let each kid pick one for the day or have fun choosing as a family.  There is really no wrong or right way to do it.

Unfortunately I am all out of space, but I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals!
