First time Disney Visit, 2 adults, 2 children (8 year old girl 5 year old boy) staying at Carribean Beach Resort need sample itinerary. Completely lost.

    Hi Susan,

There is a lot of information to consider when planning a visit to Walt Disney World. We on the panel are here to help you with this process. You have already done what I suggest that guests do first, which is to choose your resort. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a fun resort with a tropical theme.

My next suggestion for you is to order the planning DVD for Walt Disney World. It is free, and includes information on the theme parks, resorts, and so much more at Walt Disney World. You can watch this DVD together with your children and decide which theme parks and attractions are the most appealing to you.

There are four theme parks at Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. There are also two water parks, the Downtown Disney area, and lots of recreation options. As you watch the video, see which places appeal the most to your family. The way that you set up your itinerary will depend on which places are the most interesting for you and your family. For example, you might want to allow more time at Disney's Animal Kingdom if your family really loves animals, and if you have children who enjoy the water, you might want to add a day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.

I suggest that after you watch the DVD, you think how many days overall you will be spending at Walt Disney World, if you would like to visit more than one theme park in a day, and if you will be adding options such as the water parks. Then you can consider what type of Disney theme park tickets you will need to purchase.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions, Susan!
