This is our first time at Disney and we are planning on getting park hoppers. How do you get from one park to another and how long does it take? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Isabel and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You must be so excited about your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I'm excited for you! Walt Disney World Resort has a variety of transportation options with bus, monorail, and water transportation available. Let's start with Magic Kingdom Park. If you want to go to Epcot you will take the Monorail and if you want to go to Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom you will need to take a bus.

Epcot has all three modes of transportation. If you want to go to Magic Kingdom Park you will take the Monorail, Disney's Hollywood Studios you will take a boat or walk, and Disney's Animal Kingdom you will take a bus.

From Disney's Hollywood Studios you will take a bus to Magic Kingdom Park or Disney's Animal Kingdom. To reach Epcot from Disney's Hollywood Studios you can walk or take a boat.

From Disney's Animal Kingdom you only have bus transportation to the other parks.

The amount of time it will take you to travel between parks will depend on the time of day you are traveling and the number of people in the parks. I try to give myself at least 45 minutes to travel between parks. It often takes less time but in rare cases, it can take more. If you are trying to make a dining reservation or FastPass+ selection I would be sure to give yourself a little extra time.

Isabel, I hope this has helped and I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other questions!
Wishing you a magical first visit,
    Amy H.
