This will be are first time going to a Disney Park are we required to make reservations to take photos with the characters.

Hi there, Eloisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Tomorrow is a BIG day! It is the day you begin your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation. This trip will be very special for you and your family, and I am SO thrilled for you!

I have wonderful news ... you do not have to have reservations for the character meet-and-greets! FastPass+ selections can be made for some characters once you have your Walt Disney World tickets. This helps reduce your wait time, but they are not required. As a matter of fact, my family rarely uses FastPass+ for Character Experiences because we prefer to use our FastPass+ to save time in lines for rides.

During your vacation, you will probably see characters around the theme parks and you simply just get in line to meet them, get autographs, and take photos. The lines are not usually very long and in my experience they move fairly quickly. Two of my favorite character locations are Meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus in Epcot and Donald's Dino-Bash! in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Make sure you do not skip these during your visit!

I hope you have an absolutely magical visit, Eloisa! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
