First of all, thanks for all the good answers!! We will be visiting WDW in Jan, 2012 and would like to know if we can order pizza from Il Mulino to go and use a restaurant.com certificate? We have small children and would prefer to eat by the pool.

    Hi Kathleen!

Il Mulino New York Trattoria at the Walt Disney World Swan Resort serves amazing traditional Italian dinners in what is described as an "Old World meets New" ambiance.

You are correct...there is a gift certificate/coupon available for purchase on the restaurant.com website.  Unfortunately, however, it is only for use on their "entrees", and the pizzas at Il Mulinio are considered "appetizers".  So, you cannot redeem this coupon for the pizzas there.

But, the good news is that you CAN order pizzas there "to go".  Just place your to-go order with the bar tender, and they will prepare it and box it up for you to take with you.  So, you can enjoy it at the pool or in your room!

I agree, this is a little confusing, because the website says that the wood-fired pizzas are a "main course".  However, I called the restaurant directly to check on this before posting this answer, and was told by their manager that pizzas are considered an appetizer.  I wanted to be sure of this before posting this answer for you.

Pizza by the pool sounds like a great plan to me, so I hope this works out for you!
