First off, you have all helped me so much in planning our Disney vacation. Thank you! Do you know what section fast pass seats are in for Fantasmic? We want to dine at Sci Fi so dining package will not work. However, if seats would be better we can change

In my opinion, the benefit of obtaining the VIP passes for Fantasmic! through the Fantasmic! Dining Package is not necessarily for their location but for the benefit of not having to arrive an hour before the show to stand in line for a seat and also for its private entrance that helps avoid the crowds. When my children were young, I would have paid DOUBLE.

The seats are located on the right side of the amphitheater down front. Because the show is General Admission seating, I like to actually get to our VIP section about 30 minutes or even more before the show and head as far into the middle of the amphitheater as possible and generally about 8 to 10 rows up. As the "regular" crowd is spilling in from the top, we work our way up for a higher view.

Do I think they're worth the extra money added onto your dinner? If you're already dining at one of the three qualifying restaurants and it allows you to use one of your FastPass+ options for another ride like Toy Story Mania (which you CANNOT purchase) then yes. It's worth it. But if you've snagged coveted reservations at Sci-Fi Dinner Theater--a meal that typically will be half of what the dining package costs--then the time savings of arriving 15 minutes less before the show may not be worth it, especially if it is a day with two showings of Fantasmic!.

My gut is to keep your existing reservation while you smile past the 75-minute stand-by line onto Toy Story Mania in the FP lane...

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
