The first night we're in Orlando, we are staying offsite. We have dinner reservations at Ohanas. Can we park at the Polynesian for free and, if so, what time limit do we have? We would also like to watch the electric water parade from their beach.

Hey there, Nancy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Kicking off your Walt Disney World vacation with a fun-filled dinner at 'Ohana sounds like a practically perfect idea to me. Your dining reservation does enable you to park at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort while you enjoy your meal at 'Ohana. Just let the Cast Member at the security station when you enter the parking lot know that you have a dinner reservation, and you'll be all set. They'll likely give you a parking pass that will be valid for 2 or 3 hours, which should be plenty of time for dinner. Depending on when your reservation is, you may also have time to check out the Electrical Water Pageant as it floats by on the Seven Seas Lagoon. You can double-check at the security station if you have concerns about staying a bit longer to take in the sights, but I think you'll be just fine.

I hope this helps with your planning, Nancy. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
