First let me say I have used your great tips and advice for 2 family Disney trips. You guys are wonderful! My husband and I are going to Disney in July with another couple (no kids this time around). Do you have any useful information for an adult trip?

    Hi Taylor:

You'll find Disney World is a wonderful vacation for just adults.  I used to vacation at Disney before I had kids, and will do so again when my boys get older.  Here are some suggestions to have fun in and out of the parks:

    • Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
    • Epcot: Test Track, Mission Space, and Soarin'
    • Hollywood Studios: Toy Story Mania (kids or no kids, this is a must-do), Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
    • Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Dinosaur.

Head for a night to take in the entertainment, shops, restaurants, and nightlife of the Boardwalk area and Downtown Disney. At the Boardwalk area, stop by ESPN Club or Jellyrolls. At Downtown Disney, try Raglan Road, and balloon ride with Characters in Flight, a very romantic experience with a breathtaking view of Disney World property. Try a walking tour of the countries of World Showcase in Epcot and try your favorite adult drinks. Also look into the Richard Petty Driving Experience, where you can drive or ride shotgun in a NASCAR-style stock car at speeds up to 120mph.

For accommodations, I would look into the Polynesian Village Resort, Grand Floridian, or Port Orleans French Quarter, all of which have a bit of a more mature or romantic vibe.

For dining, look at California Grill, Jiko, Le Cellier, and Victoria and Albert's.

Consider taking in a show, such as La Nouba, Disney's fantastic Cirque du Soleil show.

    Enjoy your vacation.
