Our first family vacation to WDW is coming up in April 2016. Our youngest son is turning 4 during this trip. We want to make his day super special! What are some tips to help make his birthday even more magical? Will the hotel do anything special for him?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicole!

A trip to Walt Disney World Resort is always filled with magic, but especially when celebrating a birthday. As a mom to a 4 year old little Mouseketeer, I can ensure you that no matter what you have planned, your son will have a magnificent birthday! I think a great way to start your celebration is a Character Breakfast. Since Mickey Mouse is everyone's favorite, I would recommend you get early reservations at Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Be sure to note your son's birthday celebration on your reservation by calling the dining specialists at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. After breakfast, you can take the short walk or monorail ride over to Magic Kingdom for a birthday full of fun. Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday celebration button for your son on your way into the park so Cast Members and other Guests can join in on the birthday fun.

No birthday is complete without a cake. You can order a customized cake made just for your son and have it delivered to the restaurant of your choice by calling (407) 827-2253. You can also get a Celebrate Today! cake from restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort that serve parties of five without any prior notice by speaking to the host or hostess when you arrive for your reservation. Finally, take a look at these birthday celebration ideas from Disney Floral & Gifts. I'm sure you can find him an awesome birthday gift to make his day practically perfect!

Please let us know if you have any more questions as you plan your magical trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
