We are going on our first family disney vacation with Grandpa and both families. We will be traveling with 4 adults and 5 children. Kids are 8 months, 2 years, 2 years, 4 years, 7 years. What resort would best suite us? Grandpa is wanting his own room.

    Hi Ashley:

Disney World offers a number of Resort options for Guests with parties of 5 or more. You could look at connecting, adjoining, or nearby rooms at any Resort or look at the one, two or three bedroom Villas at a Deluxe Villa Resort.  Specifically, the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa can sleep up to 9 Guests

I always recommend Animal Kingdom Lodge, especially if you reserve a savanna-view room where your family can watch the animals walk by right outside your window. Upon entering the Animal Kingdom Lodge, your family will be mesmerized by the dramatic lobby expertly themed and filled with African artwork, artifacts, a fireplace (at Jambo House), and huge windows. The pools are great at Animal Kingdom Lodge. AKL Jambo House is home to the 11,000 square foot Uzima pool. The pool boasts a 67-foot slide as well as a tyke-friendly wading pool area. Not far away is a kids playground. There is also Pumbaa's Fun and Games Arcade. AKL Kidani Village is home to the wonderful Samawati Springs pool and kids water playground. As you check in, request an activity guide from the front desk for a schedule of organized activities.

if your party is looking for value, I would consider the value Resorts such as Pop Century or the family suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort or Art of Animation (opening summer of 2012).

    Enjoy your vacation.
