FIRST EVER TRIP to WDW. Is the All Star Music resort a good choice? We have 3 girls aged 10, 8 and 6. Does it pay to get the quick service dine plan? We still want everything to be affordable.

Jennifer, you are my first question by a fellow Canadian!  My daughter (8 years) and I stayed at All Star Music this past September and loved it!  As you mentioned, it's reasonably priced, and the pools and theming are fantastic. Each day they have pool-side activities, followed by a movie in the evening.

I had the opportunity to tour the All Star Music family suites a few weeks ago, which you might want to consider as they have two bathrooms, a kitchenette, a separate master bedroom, and a living area with pull outs.

I'm a huge dining plan fan, and was excited when they announced the new Quick Service plan for 2009. To me, it appears to be a great value, as it includes two snack credits, two counter service meals and a refillable mug.  In addition to the countless quick service restaurants in the parks, hotels and Downtown Disney, All Star Music has a great food court with lots of variety.  Wishing you a fantastic first trip to Disney!
