first disney trip...im little overwhelmed lol..art of animation family suite or value resort hotels with adjoining rooms?? (family-5adults &3yr old girl) Whether to do dining plan or not?? Where to find character experiences to book?? any advice is nee

    Hi Erica,

I can totally understand you feeling a little overwhelmed as there are a lot of decisions to make and things to consider.

I personally would be tempted to go for the family suites at the brand new Disney's Art of Animation Resort  which accommodate up to six Guests and include two separate bathrooms, a master bedroom and three separate sleeping areas within the living space.

That said, it is definitely worth pricing up your trip as if you would be staying in two standard rooms at another Value Resort hotel just to see what the difference in price is. If there is a big difference, I would seriously consider going this way as you will have a fantastic time regardless of which Disney Resort hotel you decide to stay at.

Secondly, the Disney Dining Plan. My family absolutely love the Disney Dining Plan and honestly believe that it offers great value for money when compared against having to pay for all of your meals and snacks out of pocket. The Dining Plans couldn't be easy to use and with over 100 participating restaurants on offer, your dining options will be endless.

Last but by no means least, character experiences - there will be no shortage of these during your trip. You will find a whole host of Disney characters at each of the Disney Parks which you visit. I would recommend picking up a Times Guide as you enter each park and checking the Character Greetings Times section for information on which characters can be found, their location and at what time during the day of your visit.

Character meals are another great way to meet and greet with your favourite Disney characters. As these are very popular, advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made online or by calling (407) 939-3463 up to 180 days prior to your visit.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
