We are going on our first Disney Cruise next week! We are all very excited. Can someone please tell me what the customary tipping guidelines are? We paid for pre Paid gratuities, but are not clear what that was for. Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

    Welcome aboard, Alain!

Your magical cruise is literally right around the corner. In just a few more days, you'll be setting sail and partying on the deck with Captain Mickey and his crew. Gratuities are highly appreciated but not required. The crew you'll be sailing with will be going above and beyond the normal service level that you usually experience elsewhere. As a part recognizing the excellent service that the crew extends to all guests, tipping guidelines will include the 4 most important crew members who will be around you the most. Depending on the duration of your voyage, here are the recommended gratuity amounts for the 4 main individuals servicing you on your cruise:

    3-night voyages --
       Dining Room Server:  $12
       Dining Room Assistant Server: $9
       Dining Room Head Server: $3
       Stateroom Host/Hostess:  $12

    4-night voyages
       Dining Room Server:  $16
       Dining Room Assistant Server: $12
       Dining Room Head Server: $4
       Stateroom Host/Hostess:  $16

    7-night voyages
       Dining Room Server:  $28
       Dining Room Assistant Server: $21
       Dining Room Head Server: $7
       Stateroom Host/Hostess:  $28

You can arrange to have these pre-paid, and you'll get the printed receipt tickets in your stateroom. You can just include the receipts in the little envelopes and hand it to your crew members on the last day of the cruise.

Please let us know if you have additional questions prior to your sailing. We're always happy to help!

    Bon voyage!
