This is our first Disney Cruise and we are leaving form Port Canaveral on the Dream in one week! Can you tell me what to expect there? We arrive in FL at 7 and plan to take the first bus to the port how can we fill that time gap? Is there vending machines?

    Ahoy, Arely!

In one week's time you'll be ready for a magical voyage on the high seas! I hope the next few days sail by, so it's your family's turn to experience a "Dreamy" time with Captain Mickey.

Since you arrive about two hours before the first transfers leave for Port Canaveral, I suggest grabbing a bite to eat at the airport since there are not any food options at the terminal. The main terminal's food court opens around 5:00 a.m., and you'll find Chick-fil-A (my personal favorite), McDonald's, Auntie Anne's and other options serving breakfast. There are also several Starbucks both before and after security and a Dunkin' Donuts (West Hall area). If you aren't hungry for breakfast or want to grab a snack or shop, the stores including Disney's EARport open at 7:00 a.m. The airport also offers free WiFi.

When you've fueled up for you ride over to Port Canaveral, you'll want to follow the signs to Side B, Level I Disney's Magical Express. The motor coach buses run continuously to the port starting at 9:00 a.m. It will take about an hour or so to get to Disney Cruise Line's Cruise Terminal, and there are bathrooms on the motor coach and plenty of Disney entertainment to make the time fly by!

Once you arrive at the port, you'll proceed through security and take the elevator up to the terminal. There is comfortable seating, a few TVs with cartoons playing, a large model of the Disney Magic and an observation deck to get a close-up view of the Disney Dream! You'll be able to check-in, review your first cruise newsletter, maybe get your picture with a Disney Character all while you wait for your boarding number to be called. If all goes smoothly, boarding usually begins around 11:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Lunch will be available once you are aboard at several dining locations.

    I hope this helps, Arely!
