We are going on our first DCL in November. I keep reading about having to use A card to turn on your lights. I wanted to know if this is also applicable for the Wonder? I Have seen tons of things about it being on the Dream and Fantasy.

    Ahoy, Rianna!

Thanks for cruising by the Moms Panel with your question!

On the Dream Class ships (the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy), there's a panel on the wall as you enter the stateroom that controls the electricity for your particular cabin. These panels have a credit-card-sized slot that requires inserting a card (any card of that size) to turn on the lights.

The Disney Wonder has light switches that do not require the use of a card to power them. So, no need to worry about taking your cards out of your wallet or lanyard - you won't need them to turn on the lights in your stateroom!

Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise! I know it must be exciting to count down the days until you set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions you have as you continue to plan for your vacation!

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
