We're going on our first cruise on a very limited budget. My kids really wanted to do the Stingray excursion but it's out of our price range. Is there any other place on the island that they may be able to view the stingrays without booking an excursion?

    Welcome aboard, Tara!

Congratulations on booking your very first magical cruise with Disney Cruise Line. You and your family are definitely in for such a treat. Castaway Cay is my favorite island destination - there's no place quite like it. You'll soon be enjoying first class amenities onboard the ship, along with the fabulous evening shows, awesome food and top notch service. Your kids will have a blast at the Youth Clubs! You've picked a great vacation for your family, Tara -- you can really only find this combination with Disney!

While on Castaway Cay, you can only view the Stingrays if you participate in the Stingray Adventure at the Stingray Lagoon. There are no other viewing areas that allows you to observe, touch and watch the stingrays. If you or your kids choose the Stingray Adventure, you can also swim with the stingrays after you experience feeding then. It's definitely an experience like no other. Kids will really enjoy learning about the Stingray and its habitat, as well as Disney's Castaway Cay conservation efforts.

Here's a peek at what is in store for you at Castaway Cay. You'll surely have loads of fun anywhere on the island. Please do let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help you with.

    Happy cruise planning!
