We are going on our first cruise aboard the Disney Dream in march! We plan to bring our boys (ages 3.5 and 1.5) to Atlantis when we get to Nassau. Do we have to book a port adventure, or can we just get a day pass when we get there?

    Hi Lacey!

I'm so excited that you are about to embark on your very first cruise onboard the spectacular Disney Dream!

When my family ventures onto the islands it is reassuring to know that we are on one of Disney's Port Adventures.  Since your time on the island is limited, any delay can cause you to be late for the ship's departure.  If you are on a Disney sponsored Port Adventure, they will alert the ship of any delays, and they will wait for you.  I know I don't like to be late and would be devastated to experience sail away from the pier!

Disney Cruise Line has several options for Atlantis.  If you are thinking along the lines of a beach day, the  Atlantis Beach Day provides you with a reserved chair on the beach and also the option to check out the shops, casino and resort aquarium before you leave.  This Port Adventure does not include the pools, slides or water park at the resort.

If you are looking for a bit more, the Atlantis Aquaventure does allow you to enjoy the waterpark, beaches and aquarium.  A lighter fare lunch is provided during your stay.

I hope this helps you decide about your day at Atlantis!  Please let me know if you have any other questions before you leave!
