Can you see the fireworks off site? In case its a day we are not at the park?

Hi Lisa! I have to agree that seeing all of the Disney firework shows is one of my favorite things to do. There is something very magical about each one and it is often hard to choose a favorite.

If you are not viewing these shows inside the parks you will be missing quite a bit. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth has many parts which are water level and unless you are there in the park you will miss these parts. You can view some of the higher fireworks from the Boardwalk area but even now as the trees have grown so much it has become harder.

The Magic Kingdom show, Wishes, can be seen from the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary resorts but again you will miss anything that is done on and around the castle. You also see some of the Wishes show from the beaches of Fort Wilderness but as the trees on the old Discovery Island have grown you are now missing so much.

If you are truly off the Disney property then your chances become even less to see the fireworks. Some nearby hotels will have some views if they are high enough. But in the long run the best and only way to appreciate the Disney fireworks is to actually be in the parks in person.
