Hello, I am finding conflicting information online so figured I would ask the experts! We are a family of 6, with the youngest being an infant. Does the infant count in room occupancy count? We are hoping to only have to book one room. Thank you!

Hi there, Dima! Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for assistance with your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort!

I just chatted with a Cast Member who confirmed that an infant needs to be included in your total occupancy count for rooms at the Disneyland Resort Hotels. You will find that when you book a room or a vacation package online, you will provide the total number of adults and the total number of children in your group. You will then be prompted to provide the ages of each child, including the infant. After those parameters are entered, you will see that a group of 6 (even with one infant) does exceed the occupancy count for standard rooms. However, there are one-bedroom suites available that will accommodate your entire family. These are typically less expensive than booking two separate rooms and provide ample space for everyone’s luggage and to sleep everyone comfortably.

Since you’ll be traveling with an infant, I wanted to make sure you were aware of the Baby Care Centers located in the parks. While there are changing tables in most restrooms, the Baby Care Centers provide many large and comfy changing tables, rocking chairs, nursing areas, and high chairs. They also sell baby essentials like diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, and over-the-counter medication should you need anything during your stay. They are comfortable and relaxing places that make traveling with an infant a little easier!

I hope this information was helpful. Please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
