how do i find out what rides will be closed during my vacation?

    Hi Doreen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. How wonderful that your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up so soon! Whether you’ll be enjoying some tasty treats and libations at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival or trick-or-treating your way to some spook-tacular fun at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I hope you have a fabulous time!

The best way to find out what attractions will be closed for refurbishment during your visit is to check the interactive Park Hours Calendar. Underneath the tabs where you customize a Month/5-Day/Day view, you’ll see columns with check-boxes. In the second column, titled Schedules, you’ll see a box for Refurbishment. Be sure that’s checked, and then as you scroll down to view each park, you’ll see any refurbishments listed.

When you're in the parks, you can use the My Disney Experience app to view any attractions that are currently closed. When viewing Wait Times on each park's map in the app, you'll be able to see if anything is closed.

Doreen, please remember that sometimes attractions go down unexpectedly. One time, my family was getting in the FastPass+ queue for Peter Pan’s Flight, and I received a message that the attraction was temporarily closed. We received a list of alternate attractions where we could use that FastPass+ reservation, and were also given the option of coming back when the attraction was back online. We headed straight to Splash Mountain - our family's favorite - and had a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day. Preparation, patience, flexibility, and positivity are my favorite tools for having a pixie-dusted time in the theme parks!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
