How do I find out the exact date I can make dining reservations? I don't want to count out 180 days on the calendar if I don't have to. Thanks!

    Hey there, Amy!

The older I get and the less my kids need me to take them on attractions, the more my Walt Disney World vacations become about relaxing and enjoying some of the incredible dining experiences. And, as you may already know, you really have to be on the ball and book the most coveted reservations as soon as your 180 day window opens.

There are a couple of ways you can figure out which day your Walt Disney World dining window opens. The first is simply go to Google and put into the search bar something like "180 days before August 1, 2018" (just make sure you use your arrival date). You'll get an answer right away which tells you what calendar date is 180 days prior to your Disney vacation.

The other way is to do a Google search for an ADR or PS calculator. ADR stands for Advanced Dining Reservations and PS is for Priority Seating (which is what the dining reservation used to be called), and there are apps out there that will calculate what date you can book your dining experiences at Walt Disney World. I like this option, because most of the sites also give dates for other important windows - FastPass+ for example.

I always have a list of the reservations that need top priority, so I book those first. If your family is hoping to dine at Be Our Guest or Cinderella's Royal Table, for example, start your dining reservation plans by getting those into place.

Wishing you all the pixie dust for snagging all of the dining reservations you want!
