How do I find out how much a dining plan is? Reservations just tell me that its included in the Magic Your Way price. That does not seem to be planning efficient.

    Hi Cheryl,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love your planning process! For me, the pricing is important because I like to verify that a dining plan is the best value for my family on each trip. To check, I use the Walt Disney World website and then enter our travel dates and number of people in our party. I select a resort hotel and then check the pricing for that resort hotel with theme park tickets. I note the price. Then, I click to add a dining plan. Once I know the total price with the dining plan, I subtract the first price (with just the resort hotel and theme park tickets) from the price of the package with resort hotel, park tickets and dining plan to see how much a dining plan actually adds to our total cost. The nice thing is you can also check various Special Offers online as well.

When trying to determine if a dining plan is a good value for your family, I suggest that you review a few of the restaurant menus being sure to check quick-service and table-service restaurants. To view a menu, just go to the restaurant's home page and then click on View Menu. Coral Reef Restaurant is one of our favorite places to dine in Epcot for a table-service meal. Take a look at the dinner menu. Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom is one of our favorite places to dine as well. The quick-service breakfast menu is good. When making your price estimates, also remember that a dining plan includes a beverage with each meal entitlement as well as two snacks per night of stay and a resort refillable mug.

Cheryl, my family always finds a dining plan to be a good value!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
