Hi! Where can I find out more details about the rider switch program. Do we all need fast passes if we are utilizing rider switch on a ride or can I take the younger children to do something else and then use the rider switch ticket to ride?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Courtney! I know you’re ready to ride and make sure all members of your family experience the magic. My family often uses Rider Switch since my little girl isn’t tall or old enough to experience many rides that older brother enjoys.

You can read here how I’ve detailed the ins and outs of the Rider Switch Program for another guest. During your visit, you’ll notice that instead of the paper passes used in months prior, the new digital program is in use which saves a lot of paper passes and digitizes your return time. After your family is assigned the Rider Switch passes, you can take the younger kids to ride something like Prince Charming’s Regal Carousel or perhaps grab a snack like the soft Mickey-shaped Pretzels. When it’s time for you to return to the attraction in question (you'll be assigned a return window of 60 minutes), go ahead and scan your FP+ at the queue and enjoy the ride! Those that initially ride the attraction while you wait will need FP+ reservations if they do not want to use the standby queue. You, as the waiting chaperone, will not need to schedule a FP+ reservation for your turn since it is complimentary with Rider Switch.

If I can help detail making travel easy with preschoolers or tell you more about the 80+ attractions suitable for little ones, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
