Hi! My finance and I are planning a trip from November 9th-16 and I was wondering what can I expect in terms of weather? What clothing should I pack? Will the swimming pools be open? Thank you so much!

    Hi Ashly,

Early November is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World resort. The weather is mild, the crowds are lower and special events, including the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, add to the excitement.

The weather can be difficult to predict, of course, but generally, you can expect it to be sunny with highs near 80 and lows in the upper 50s.

I've lived in Central Florida for many years and continue to wear shorts and sandals well into the winter months, sometimes up until Christmas. I suggest dressing in layers because it may be a little cool early in the morning and after the sun goes down. You probably will want at least a light jacket or hoodie and maybe long pants after dark.

Even if the weather turns a little cool, you will find that the swimming pools will be open. They are heated year-round for the comfort of guests.

One thing I like to remind those who are visiting from outside of Florida during the winter months: The sun remains intense here, even when the temperatures are milder. So don't forget your sunscreen.

I hope that is useful. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help as you make your plans. Enjoy!
