Disney's Magical Express

My fiance and I are on an early flight, and are due to land in Orlando at about about 9:50. But I'm looking over our hotel reservation, it says we can't check in until after 3pm. Is there a way I can change that or somewhere for our luggage?

    Hi Sophie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to have a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort planned!

With every trip, I recommend completing online check-in prior to arrival! When completing that online check-in, you should be able to prioritize room availability. For example, if I enter two requests, I have been able to indicate that the room availability takes priority over the room location. When completing online check-in, I also opt to receive text messages to alert me of the room availability status. On most occasions, if I have prioritized room availability, we have received a notification that our room is ready while on our way to the resort on Disney's Magical Express®!

If your room is not available when you arrive, you can certainly store your luggage with Bell Services. On our last trip, I made an advanced dining reservation for brunch so that we had plans just in case our room was not ready when we arrived. We had the most wonderful time at 1900 Park Fare and then checked into our resort afterwards. We have also stored our luggage and gone to grab a quick-service lunch at the resort. When traveling with family, I prefer to check-in before heading to a theme park, but when traveling with friends, I have dropped my luggage off with Bell Services and headed straight to a theme park.

Sophie, if your room location request is a priority, you may have to wait a little longer to check-in, so be sure to consider which is most important, room location or room availability. Sending pixie dust your way hoping that your room will be available soon after your arrival!

    Magic and memories,
