We are going in a few weeks and I'm debating on whether or not to bring my double stroller or just a single for my 3 and 5 yr old. Ideas?

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt DIsney World vacation, Kristine! This is a great question and one that has been debated in my household during the planning of many past Walt Disney World vacations! As a mom of four children which includes a set of twins, we have traveled with one single stroller, one double stroller and also with two single strollers depending on the ages of our children and their needs at the time. The benefit of the double stroller is obviously that both children can sit in the stroller at any time, especially if you think your five-year-old will want to ride at times. When your five-year-old is not riding in the stroller, you could also use the second seat for additional storage space. We used a double stroller on several trips and decided it was too difficult to maneuver in crowds and found the double stroller to be especially challenging while riding on the Disney buses since they have to be collapsed. We used the double stroller when the twins were infants and toddlers and then purchased two lightweight single strollers when they were preschoolers. We found the single strollers to be much easier to navigate and the twins actually preferred having their own personal space. The single strollers also worked well when one child fell asleep before the other. We stopped using the strollers when our youngest turned five and found they did very well without them. Based on my own personal experience, I would most likely bring your single stroller from home and then rent a second single stroller if the walking gets to be too much for your five-year-old. I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Kristine!
    Happy Planning,
