Hi, I've a few questions. 1st, is there a 3-BR or a 4-BR villa? 2nd, would it be better to visit on Christmas or on New Year's with kids in terms of activities? 3rd, what would be approx. cost for 8 adults and 6 kids? Any suggestions to trim costs? Thanks!

There are no four bedroom villas available at Walt Disney World. There are a very few three bedroom villas at the Boardwalk and Saratoga Springs. These 2,000+ square food accommodations sleep up to 12 people, plus two infants in cribs.  However, I wouldn't get your heart set on staying in a three bedroom villa as those tend to get reserved very quickly by Disney Vacation Club members and they don't often become available for the general public.

I'd say that Christmas and New Years would be equal in terms of happenings at WDW. There will be lots going on that entire week. The resorts will have cute activities for kids and the parks will be in all their holiday finery. There will also be lots and lots and lots and lots of people at WDW that entire week.

For exact pricing information for your party, you would need to contact Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY. Or, since your group has more than eight people, you might be better off looking into working with the Magical Gatherings Department to help you plan your trip. They can be reached at 407-WDW-MAGIC.

As far as keeping costs down I have two main suggestions:

    - Don't visit Disney during the holidays. There is holiday pricing in effect the last two weeks of December that will make your trip at least 50% (or more) expensive than if you traveled during the value season.
    - Stay at a less expensive hotel. The villa rooms are GREAT for larger groups, but they are on the expensive side. If you decided to stay in a block of rooms at one of the value resorts, your costs would be substantially less than staying in the villas.

    Hope this helps.
