We have a few dining reservations for our upcoming stay in December. My father (lives locally)wants to join us a day or 2. Is it fairly easy or even possible to add him to our existing dining reservations that I booked 180 days out?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tasha!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is quickly approaching and will be here before you know it. I think it's awesome that your father can join you on your trip, but I know how stressful it can be to update your dining plans. A few years ago, my dad found out he would be able to join us on our family trip just a few days before we left, so it was up to me to update all of our dining reservations. While you can update your dining reservations either online or over the phone, I have had the most luck making "last minute" changes when a Cast Member can help me. You can call a dining reservation Cast Member at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. They can help you figure out all of the options you have so your dad can be included in your reservations. In my case, we were able to get a reservation large enough to include our entire family that was only five minutes different from my original reservation. The popularity of the restaurant, day and time of your reservation and size of your dining party will all influence how difficult it is to accommodate your party. If your reservation can't be modified, the Cast Member will be able to help you look at other options, such as modifying your dining time. I like to look for less popular dining times, such as a 10:30 a.m. breakfast or 2:00 p.m. lunch, when I am looking at reservations with just a few days or weeks notice.

Please let us know if you have any other questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
