I am feeling overwhelmed with the planning aspect of the trip. What is the best way to do this with a 4 yr. old

    Hello again, Karen!

Thanks for bringing us another great question on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. One of the things I love about the Disneyland Resort in comparison to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, is that I find I don't really have to do quite as much pre-planning and we can be a little more spontaneous in the parks. Once you have your tickets purchased and your hotel booked, you don't have too many other things to worry about planning. I like to book at least one Table Service dining reservation per trip. This could be a fine dining experience like Carthay Circle Restaurant, a Character Dining meal, or a Dining Package that includes reserved seating for entertainment at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. These reservations can be made online or by phone 60 days in advance. We have also done trips without any dining reservations, relying just on Quick Service restaurants, and have still had a magical time!

Since you have a little princess, you may want to think about reserving a unique experience at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disneyland Park where she can have a magical makeover. You can book this experience before your trip by calling (714) 781-7895.

To make Disney FASTPASS selections which let you bypass certain attraction lines, you actually do not have to plan these until you arrive at the park. You can head to FASTPASS distribution kiosks to get a FASTPASS return time or you can purchase Disney MaxPass when you arrive. This lets you make FASTPASS selections on your phone using the Disneyland app.

One tip to familiarize yourself with the Resort before your trip is to download the Disneyland app. You can view park maps, attractions, and Character meetings before and during your trip.

I hope this helps a little!
