Is it feasible to do at least parts of Disneyland and California Adventure in 1 day? That's all our schedule allows for. My children are 14, 10 and 5. We've been to Disney world several times, but this is our first trip to Disneyland.

Hi, Janel! I am so excited that you are planning your first trip to the Disneyland Resort!

It is absolutely feasible to take in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in one day! The parks are literally right across from each other, so hopping between parks takes mere minutes.

Since you are familiar with the Walt Disney World Resort, I suggest focusing your time on some of the unique attractions the Disneyland Resort has to offer. At Disneyland Park, prioritize Matterhorn Bobsleds, Storybook Land Canal Boats, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Indiana Jones Adventure, and all of Mickey's Toontown. Also, while the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction isn't unique to the Disneyland Resort, I recommend riding the attraction at Disneyland Park because it's a much longer ride and differs from the Walt Disney World version.

Over in Disney California Adventure Park, do not miss Cars Land! If your youngest is at least 40" tall, then the whole family should take a ride on Radiator Springs Racers at least once. "a bug's land" is also a great place to ride a few unique attractions geared toward younger guests.

Finally, the Disneyland Resort FASTPASS service uses traditional paper tickets, but you can still obtain several FASTPASS tickets throughout the day - just pay special attention to the time printed on the ticket when you can obtain another FASTPASS. Using the Disneyland app will help you to use your time efficiently by knowing current wait times and FASTPASS distribution return times.

I hope this information is helpful. Have a great time at the Disneyland Resort!
