Hi there Kathy!  Congratulations on your Walt Disney World vacation! This is an excellent question! As a mom of four children which includes a set of seven-year-old twin boys, I am a huge believer in going back to the resort for a much needed midday break or nap with "little ones." I have found from firsthand experience that a good plan for families with infants and toddlers is to arrive at park opening and then head back to the resort after lunch for a nap or swim. We like to then return to the parks in the early evening to enjoy the nighttime activities and attractions we may not have gotten to in the morning. I have found that the children are happier and able to enjoy the entire experience more when they have gotten a good nap during the day.

Buses traditionally run every twenty minutes so I like to allow 45 minutes to one hour travel time when using Disney's bus transportation. Depending on which park you are traveling to or from, I would plan approximately thirty minutes to be a realistic "best case" scenario regarding travel times. If you will have your own car during your vacation, you may also consider driving to the parks. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort receive complimentary parking at all theme parks. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Kathy!
