Hi Natalie!
I'm so excited to help you plan your family's Walt Disney World Resort vacation! As the mom to two little ones of my own, I know how challenging it can be to make sure everyone can enjoy the attractions and entertainment on their "must-do" lists. My oldest is a few years older than my little one, so there are some attractions my big one can do that my little one isn't yet big enough for. Keep in mind that since your little one is 2 years old, he or she receives complimentary admission to the theme parks and does not need
FastPass+ reservations of their own. So your little one can enjoy attractions and entertainment with the rest of the family when they are using FastPass+ reservations.
When your older child will be using a FastPass+ reservation for a "big kid" ride with one parent, I recommend that you make a FastPass+ reservation for an
attraction,
Character Experience or
entertainment event for the other adult so your little one can enjoy something at the same time. You can also use that bit of free time with your little one to get a snack, do a fun alternate activity or visit the
Baby Care Center so your little one can cool off and be refreshed and ready for more fun. During our last Walt Disney World Resort vacation, my little and I had some popcorn and got his face painted while my husband and my older son rode
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith!
Alternately, you could make a FastPass+ reservation for both adults and your older child for a "big kid" attraction and then use
Rider Switch so both parents have an opportunity to enjoy the ride. Rider Switch is a great way for everyone to enjoy "big kid" attractions, without making your little one wait in queues for things they won't be riding.
Natalie, I hope you are planning on adding
Memory Maker to your vacation so you can capture and save all of the incredible memories you make together as a family. Let us know if we can help you again as you count down the final
sleeps until your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
