How do fastpass reservations work when members of our party are not there the entire trip? We have 5 people staying 8 days, a 6th person staying the first 5 days and a 7th person staying the last 4 days (day 5 is the only day we will all be at the parks).

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tony!

Your question about Walt Disney World's FastPass+ is a great one, and I know you'll love the answer, too!

Keep in mind that each guest's park ticket must be entered into My Disney Experience prior to making any FP+ plans. It's the park ticket that enables you to make these plans, so the system recognizes the number of days available on each ticket and will allow you to select your FP+ plans for as many days as that guest has available in his or her ticket. Guests staying in a WDW Resort hotel may make these plans up to 60 days in advance of stay; those with tickets who are not staying on property may do so 30 days in advance.

For example, if your entire stay is 8 days, and 5 guests have an 8-day park ticket, those 5 guests may make 8 days' worth of FP+ plans. If the 6th person only has a 5-day ticket, then that person's FP+ plans can be made for the days of his or her stay. That 7th person might have a 4-day park ticket, so he or she will be able to make 4 days' worth of FP+ plans during this stay. (Should your guests have additional days on their park tickets when they will not be in WDW, you don't have to make FP+ plans for them on those days.)

Think of your park tickets as the key to making FP+ plans. You can either manage everyone's tickets or you can invite each other to be added to your Friends & Family list. This second option enables you all to see each others' plans, making it much easier to match and keep track of dining reservations and FP+ plans alike.

Be sure to send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
