How do the fast passes work and when do u book them?

    Hi Brandi,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to the Moms Panel. Fast Pass+ makes a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort so much easier because it significantly reduces your wait time in lines for rides or attractions.

With Fast Pass+, you can pre-book ride times for up to three rides per day at one park. Be sure that you have everyone in your party listed as Friends and Family in your My Disney Experience Account. Once your Fast Pass booking window opens, you can select your Fast Passes for each park. If you have the Park Hopper Option, once you use your first three Fast Passes or the last ride time window ends, you may book an additional Fast Pass at a different park.

Here is how the magic works in person. If you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can book Fast Passes 60 days prior to arrival. If you only have theme park tickets, you can book Fast Passes 30 days prior to arrival. Ride time windows are typically one hour. If you have a Fast Pass reservation for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., that is your window of time to ride that ride. If you miss that window, you cannot book another Fast Pass until your remaining Fast Passes have been used or have expired for that day.

My family uses Fast Passes for popular rides like Soarin', Test Track, and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. You can change your Fast Pass times if other times are available.

The first time we used Fast Passes, it took about two rides before our girls realized what it meant. I will never forget that epiphany. One of them said, "It's like magic Mommy. We get to skip the lines!"

    Happy Planning!
