How does the fast pass work

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dawn!

Disney FASTPASS Service at the Disneyland Resort is an awesome way to make efficient use of your time. I use FASTPASS as much as possible whenever I visit, so I'd love to give you the run down on how it works!

    • There are 15 attractions (soon to be 16 when Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! opens May 27, 2017) that offer FASTPASS tickets.
    • To obtain a FASTPASS, look for the FASTPASS Distribution machines near the attraction (FASTPASS Distribution for Radiator Springs Racers is located near the entrance of "a bug's land"). Either near the attraction queue entrance or the FASTPASS Distribution entrance a one-hour return time will be displayed. That is the time when you can return to the attraction and ride with a minimal wait.
    • Insert your valid theme park admission ticket into the machine and a FASTPASS will be distributed with your return time printed on it.
    • Also printed on the ticket is a time when you can obtain your next FASTPASS. I suggest getting another FASTPASS as soon as you are able.
    • When you are within your one-hour return time window, enter the FASTPASS queue entrance, hand your FASTPASS ticket to the Cast Member, and enjoy the ride!
You can also use the Disneyland app to look up attraction wait times and FASTPASS return times before heading to a particular attraction. Also, you can send one person with all the theme park tickets to pull FASTPASS tickets for your entire party to help save some time.

I hope this helps! Have a magical day!
