How does fast pass plus work with meeting characters? On average how long does it take to see the character once you've returned with your FPP? Thanks!

Hello Melissa.  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I've used a FastPass+ selection quite a few times for character meet and greets.  My daughter is 8 and has always loved meeting characters, she will wait and wait and wait to get a glimpse of her favorites. I've used a FastPass+ for the Character Spot in Epcot, to meet Elsa and Anna and Cinderella and Rapunzel at Princess Fairytale Hall.  After I have initially scanned my band, I haven't waited more than 5 minutes to see the princesses.  At the Character Spot, each time I've used it, I haven't waited more than 2 minutes before getting my first autograph.  That's just my personal experience, I'm sure during busier times of year the wait could vary a few minutes.  As for how it works, you enter the line at the FastPass+ entrance and scan your band.  Once Mickey turns green, you enter a separate entrance that is close to the characters and wait for your turn.  There will be a Cast Member there to assist you as well.  There's really nothing else to it, it's pretty easy!

I hope this helps.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.
