Fast pass date is fast approaching! I heard that if a park is still open when you are making your fast passes at midnight, that it won't let you do that park until it closes? Is that right?

Hello Katrina. If your FastPass+ date is approaching it can only mean one thing: Your vacation is just around the corner! You must be so excited! If you haven't already, I would start planning out which attractions you would like for each park so that you are ready to go when your time window opens. Also keep note of any dining reservation times so that you allow for plenty of travel time and no time overlaps.

I have a trip coming up at the end of May with one of my fellow Moms Panelists, Ana F., and we just experienced what you are talking about. Two weeks ago our FastPass+ window opened up so we both stayed up until midnight, however, the online FastPass+ scheduling system was not letting us make our FastPass+ selections. We took a look at the park hours and saw that the Magic Kingdom was open until 1:00 a.m. that night and until 3 a.m. for Extra Magic Hours. I stayed up until 1:00 a.m. and the FastPass+ system had finally opened up for us. That whole experience makes me want to say that yes, you are correct that you can't make FastPass+ selections until the last park closes on the day your window opens up, however, I have not ever heard it officially confirmed. If you can, your best bet is to just stay up until the parks close.

Happy planning, and if you need anything else please come back and see us.
    Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Sarah, Indiana

I am a recent graduate from Ball State University and mother to my 5-year-old son. We love all things Disney and when we aren’t watching Disney films or planning our next vacation, we love to go to touring Disney shows. I also love to cook, listen to music, read books, and paint. With my experience planning vacations and navigating the parks from a single parent’s perspective, I hope to be able to add a little “pixie dust” to your vacation! Learn More About Sarah
