Hi Moms, If your fast pass is cancelled by Disney while you are in the MK, are there restrictions on which rides you can use your "free" fast pass on? Thanks.

Hi, Teresa! I absolutely love the FastPass+ system as it allows me to easily plan up to three selections ahead of our vacation. However, things do occasionally happen that cause well-made plans to go awry, such as that ever-present afternoon thunderstorm during the summer! As much as we hate the thought of having to change our plans, Disney does a great job at making sure we can easily find fun elsewhere.

In my experience, each time we have had a FastPass+ selection canceled, I have received an alert to our My Disney Experience account and an email (a good reason to make sure your My Disney Experience email address is always up-to-date!). This alert/email would inform me that the attraction was unavailable, but that we could visit other FastPass+ experiences at any time during normal park operating hours, excluding Extra Magic Hours.

I tend to save all sorts of emails, so I just looked through all of the ones that involved changes to FastPass+ selections. In each one, there was indeed a specific list of attractions provided. Should you have one canceled, you will be pleased to know that your original FastPass+ attraction will also be included in the list. So, while you may not be able to plunge down Splash Mountain into the briar patch at the time you planned, you could still possibly enjoy it later that day if the attraction becomes available again. Anytime you decide to use the open FastPass+, you do not need to go into My Disney Experience to specify for which attraction you would like to use it. You only need to scan your MagicBand or park ticket to the attraction's FastPass+ Mickey reader and you're all set!

I hope you have a magical day, Teresa. Please stop by again if you have any further questions for us!
