How far is it from All Star Resort to the Polynesian? We booked a dinner there is it okay for a 21-month old (we booked the 515pm) show.

Hi Kristin!  The quickest way to get from the All Star resorts to the Polynesian resort is via a car and that would take about 16 minutes.  Using the Disney transportation is a bit longer but fairly easy.  The best is to catch a bus to the Magic Kingdom and from there transfer to the local resort monorail.  The Polynesian would be the third stop after the Contemporary and the Transportation and Ticket Center.  This would take approximately 53 minutes.  Your other choice once you reach the Magic Kingdom would be to take the boat launch to the resort. This would take about 57 minutes.  Please also add on 15 minutes for wait time for a bus.  To be safe give yourself an hour and a half before your reservation time.

All Disney restaurants and shows are children friendly. (Victoria and Alberts is the only location with an age limit)  There will be high chairs and booster seats available and children menus.  You can take a few things with you to help your child be entertained during the waiting but I wouldn't worry about anything at all.  Relax and enjoy and have fun!
