How far in advance can you make a dining reservation?

    Hi, Brett!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this great question to our website!

The perfect date to make dining reservations is one of the most strategic dates regarding a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The system is open for bookings 180 days before your arrival or desired meal. If you have a reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, you will also have the benefit to book your meals 180 days before your check-in date plus 10 days in advance, so that's a significant game-changer for Guests who dream of dining at locations like Cinderella's Royal Table or Be Our Guest Restaurant, for example.

If you stay at hotels outside of the Walt Disney World Resort, you will be able to book your restaurants one day at a time, so it's strategic to make them as soon as possible. Reservations open as early as 6 a.m EST online or on the My Disney Experience app.

You can change your plans after making the reservations. Each dining location has a distinct cancellation policy, but as long as you respect those, you can change your plans. My advice is to book the meals of your dreams with a few redundancies and adjust your plans when you book your FastPass+ reservations. Again, your hotel choice will be strategic.

If you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you will be able to book your FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance, 30 days before the other Guests do. That's one of the most strategic advantages a Guest can have to make the most of the Walt Disney World Resort. My husband and I always take advantage of this benefit and we will not travel without it ever again!

If you need more help or advice to design your plans for April, please, come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Brett! We're here to help Guests make their dreams come true!

May the magic be with you,
