We like the Fantasmic Dessert package for myself and my autistic son. He is 12 and will only eat the dessert items from the kids menu, which is only for up to age 9. Can I order him the kids anyway or order the adult package for him but get the kids?

    Hi there, Andrea!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am elated you stopped by with your question!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Fantastic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. To be able to indulge in all the tasty treats while being seated in a reserved seating section, which happens to be a prime location to watch the show is…absolutely Fantasmic! I still have my souvenir cup from this experience and use it quite often. It brings a little bit of magic into my day!

I am so excited for the two of you to watch the magical show and fireworks together. Because your son is 12 years old, he will need the package made for 10 years and up. However, I encourage you to make his particular restrictions known when making advanced dining reservations so that the appropriate notation may be made. A friend of mine has kiddos who are a bit older but still prefer the children’s menu options, and what most Walt Disney World Resort restaurants do is offer the menu options from the children’s menu in larger proportions. This is, of course, completely at the discretion of the restaurant, but it never hurts to ask. In my experience, I feel restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort are incredibly accommodating and I hope you find this to be true, as well!

Andrea, I hope you and your son have the most magical vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
