This is our family's first trip to Disney--I want to make sure I take the kids 12,9,4,1 yr.to some nice character meals. We did purchase the Din. pkg. to make it easier and more ecomonical. Can anyone give me the suggestions for bkfst and din. places?

If you have girls, then one the princess-themed character meals would likely be a hit. These are Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle in the Magic Kingdom, the Princess Storybook meals at the Norway pavilion at Epcot, and 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Hotel. The Royal Table has a rotating cast of princesses at breakfast and lunch, but at dinner you'll find only Cinderella in the lobby and the Fairy Godmother in the dining room. At Norway you'll find several princesses at all three meals. 1900 Park Fare has Mary Poppins and Alice at breakfast. At dinner you'll find Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Cindy's step family.

If you have either boys or a mix of boys and girls, there are several more character dining experiences that are more gender-neutral. The classic character meal for all ages is Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary resort. Chef Mickey's has a large buffet at breakfast and dinner. The characters you'll find there include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.

Another good all-purpose choice is breakfast at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom. You'll find Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy here. I particularly like the food here. There is a full range of American favorites (pancakes, eggs, fruit, etc.), but you'll also find a number of unique African dishes on the buffet line. I love that I can be adventurous and my kids are happy too.

Also fun are the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Polynesian and the Winnie the Pooh meals at the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom.

For non-character meals that are fun for families, I like the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge and the 50s Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

    Have a great trip!
