This is our family's first Disney trip!! I want to make sure we are getting the whole experience. What do you recommend to make sure this happens?

Hello, Amber! How exciting that you're planning your family's first Walt Disney World Resort vacation and that it's less than six months away!

If you haven't booked your dining reservations yet, I'd encourage you to start there. My family and I like to book at least one table service meal for each day of our trip, and we try to schedule at least one Character meal while we're there. Which restaurants and Character Dining experiences you choose will depend on your family's interests, though. Are you adventurous eaters? Would you prefer a big breakfast, lunch or dinner? Which Characters are your family's favorites? These are all things you'll want to consider as you formulate your plan for dining.

You'll also want to take a look at Park Hours for your trip and schedule your plans around them. Please keep in mind that hours are always subject to change, but I like to look at which Parks are open earliest or latest and plan our days around that. If you're an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guest, you'll also be able to enjoy Extra Magic Hours, so make sure you keep those in mind when planning as well.

Make sure you download the My Disney Experience mobile app, too. Then you'll have your plans with you on-the-go and can make adjustments as necessary right from your phone. Use the app to book and modify your FastPass+ experiences, view wait times, get directions and find your favorite Characters' meeting spots. It's an indispensable part of my planning process!

I know there's a lot to take in, Amber, so please feel free to come back and ask questions as you have them.
