Hi Moms! My family Is going to WDW for the 2nd time In June '16. We have 4 adults & 2 kids, girls 7 & 5. Is a family suite or 2 rooms better on a budget? Also, what are some must do's with girls this age...activities, places to eat and visit?

    Hi Jennifer,

June is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort with your family!

With a family suite, you get a bedroom, two bathrooms, a common area that doubles as a bedroom and a kitchenette. With two rooms, you still get two bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, you lack a common areas to sit and eat breakfast in the morning or even hangout after a day in the parks. Generally, the family suite is more expensive. However, you could offset this price by ordering snacks, drinks and breakfast foods from an online grocer. This will also make for a more relaxing morning prior to heading into the parks versus another stop for breakfast.

Another way to save with your budget is to skip the Park Hopper option on your tickets. You can concentrate on one park a day.

As for the must do's with girls, I think it depends on the girls. Ask them what they liked during their first trip and then repeat them. Look on Disney's website with the girls to get their thoughts on attractions, dining and activities. Set a budget with them and let them plan the trip with you.

For activities, my girls love thrill rides so we also hit Space Mountain, Rock 'N' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith and Expedition Everest. While Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was not around for them at this age, I think they would have skipped it and gone to the Pirates League.

For dining, my girls liked buffets with the characters such as 1900 Park Fare or Crystal Palace. I think buffets are a great way to introduce children to different foods. They also enjoyed California Grill or Teppan Edo. My husband and I really wanted our daughters to explore different foods and levels of dining. Disney gave them a place to do both.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
