My family is going to WDW. My sister cannot stop talking about seeing the castle all in lights. I have been at Christmas time before, however I cannot remember if the castle is in that pretty blue violet light every night or only at the MVMCP event nights.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Letitia!

There is a very good reason your sister can't stop talking about Cinderella Castle draped in the Castle Lights - it is BREATHTAKING!

I have some good news for you. All Magic Kingdom guests, not just those attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP), can enjoy the amazing transformation of Cinderella Castle during a ceremony held at dusk each evening beginning Nov. 8, 2013. During this ceremony, Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother along with some of their Disney friends all dressed up for the holidays, appear on the Castle Stage and magically transform Cinderella Castle into an ice palace sparkling with 200,000 lights. It literally looks like the Castle is covered in shimmering icicles. I love just sitting and watching it change colors throughout the evening. It is absolutely beautiful and I know you'll love it too.

Please keep in mind that the other special events like Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes are apart of MVMCP through December 20, 2013.  You'll need to attend MVMCP if you want to see those if you're visiting during those dates.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
