My family of 8 is going to WDW in Nov. to experience the Christmas. I need to know if there is anyway to find out when Christmas is officially up and running in FL? We are flying from Vegas and can't make the mistake of going too soon.

    Hi Kerryann!

Thanks for asking such a great question! The 2013 dates for putting up the Christmas decorations in Walt Disney World have not been announced yet. I can tell you that the Magic Kingdom was decorated by November 9th, 2012 because that was the date of the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party for 2012 and I was there with my son. The Resorts were not finished with their Christmas Decorations until the next week in 2012. Typically, all the Christmas decorations are up by the middle of November and they are definitely all up by Thanksgiving. Mid November to the week before Thanksgiving and the week after Thanksgiving to December 16th are great times to go down to see the incredible Christmas decorations in Walt Disney World with lower crowds. Don't forget to visit the Resorts, especially the Monorail Resorts and Wilderness Lodge to see the Christmas decorations in the lobbies!

I hope that you create some magical, Christmas memories with your whole family on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
