Our family is going to WDW in March. I'd like to have a nice dinner with my husband while my 19 yr. old daughter takes her 11 and 14 yr. old siblings to a more kid friendly dinner. Can they use their magic bands to pay without us there?

    Hey, Kathleen!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My wife and I have enjoyed many nights kid free and the adult Disney experience is Fantasmic-ally romantic and magical.

The ability to make purchases with a MagicBand is exclusively reserved for Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels. Any person in your party (age 10 and over) who has been granted charging privileges on their MagicBand may make purchases. You may set this up before you arrive through online Resort check-in or at the front desk when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel. The Cast Member checking you in will verify which MagicBands (if you have several linked to your account) you will be using and link your private PIN number for charging at "touch point" locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Hurray! Everyone gets a fun night out.

Disney Dad Tip: Here are a couple of my favorite adult dining spots.

The California Grill atop Disney's Contemporary Resort is a Signature Restaurant with a divine menu. A magical benefit is the ability to dine and delight in the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks from your table.

At Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Artist Point brings nature and sophistication together. My recent meal of Cedar Plank Chinook Salmon accompanied by a glass of Sweet Potato Beer rimmed with melted brown sugar and a toasted marshmallow can only be described as rustic perfection.

Kathleen, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
