Hi Shiryl,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. One of my favorite things to do each time we visit is try something new. With the incredible new attractions, shows and entertainment, it's actually pretty easy to do!
You probably have your favorite attractions planned out, so rather than focus on rides, I want to point out some really fun activities in the parks. My boys are just a bit younger than your children but one thing they loved on our last visit was
Wilderness Explorers at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
As a family, we completed challenges throughout the park to earn badges and learn about nature, animals and even fossils! This was a big hit and even us grown-ups learned a few things.
Over at Epcot,
Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure will take you on a fun-filled scavenger hunt through the World Showcase so you can help Perry the Platypus defeat the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
Finally, head over to Magic Kingdom Park and head to the Firehouse at Main Street, U.S.A. for your complimentary map and pack of cards for a game of
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. You'll use your cards to unlock portals throughout the park and help Merlin defeat the forces of evil!
These fun games are a great way to see the parks with new eyes and focus on some of the hidden details we all miss when running from attraction to attraction. And the best part is there is no extra cost to enjoy these activities. You may choose to do one or all the missions depending on your timing.
I hope this gives you a few ideas, Shiryl. Wishing you a fun-filled vacation!
