My family and I are going to WDW in 53 days !!! We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Just wondering ur opinion on this Resort. I am staying with two young kids (8 and 6). Pros and Cons if any please. I want to make the most of this trip!!!! Thanks

    Hi, Samantha!

There are so many great things to enjoy at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside!  The beautiful setting, multiple pools, great food court area, Boatwright's Dining Hall (table service), and 'Ol Man Island where you can enjoy Catch and Release fishing and a swimming pool with a water slide - so much fun!

The downside of this resort is also the upside - this is a very large resort!  It is a "con" in that depending on your location, it can be quite a long walk to the food court.  It is a "pro" in that the size allows you to enjoy beautiful walks through the pathways.  We always choose the Alligator Bayou section as we like the quiet atmosphere.  While it is very large at Riverside, you are never more than about 5 - 7 minutes from a bus stop, so make sure to ask your Cast Member at check-in which stop will be the closest to your room.

Another big perk of this resort is the entertainment of YeeHa Bob at the Rivers Roost Lounge.  Check at the front desk for his schedule, then add this to your agenda for a night of family sing-along fun!  I also love the boat ride from Riverside to Downtown Disney.  Not many resorts offer this great service!

I really think you will like this resort.  It is large, but so beautiful!  I hope you enjoy all it has to offer!
