Hello! My family and I will be in WDW this April and will be staying off-site. We have purchased our park tickets and plan to order the Magic Bands online. Are we able to set up our Magic Bands prior to arriving or does this have to be done at the park?

    Hi Sarah!

I'm happy to help you get ready for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort! You can link your MagicBands through the My Disney Experience website or mobile app using the ID number found on the back of each MagicBand. Once you have linked your tickets to your account, you will be able to assign each MagicBand to a family member in your My Disney Experience account and associate it to their park ticket. From there you are all set to enjoy your MagicBands on your vacation!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the retail MagicBands that will be released before your trip in case you want to wait to purchase your MagicBands at Walt Disney World Resort. They are a great way for each of your family members to personalize their MagicBands.

Have a magical day and come back to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any other questions!

Hi! I’m Crystal and I’m a wife and mommy to two little Mouseketeers. My husband and I have been enjoying Disney Parks since before we were married, and now we take our children to see Mickey and the gang as often as we can, while  managing my oldest son's food allergies. Planning is key for my family to ensure that everyone has a safe and fun trip to our favorite place and it can be just as exciting as the trip itself. I can’t wait to help you plan your next adventure there, too! Learn More About Crystal
